The Importance Of A Licensed Counselor, A College Student...

The title, counselor, seems to have many different meanings depending on who you are speaking with. A counselor could be a college student working at a summer camp. Another holding the title counselor might work in a local school. Moreover, counselors exist in offices and treatment centers across the world. It would make sense if every person who encounters these different counselors have different expectations of their counselor’s role. Yet, all of these different people hold the same title. Accordingly, it would seem clarifying the definition of a licensed counselor’s role and what makes them effective in this role is a good starting point before entering into the field. The American Counseling Association (2016) defines professional counseling as, â€Å"†¦a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals†. This definition is a good starting point, but it w ould be of more value to process what traits and practices make a counselor effective at â€Å"empowering† clients. I believe an effective counselor is a willing listener, self-aware, and is flexible intentional. Moreover, some of the skills I suppose effective therapists exhibit are: empathy, observation, and collaboration. They have various pricing strategies like psychological pricing, promotional pricing. In order to publicize its brand, the company started giving advertisements in the buses and other public places via posters and mannequins. The organization always remains concerned with the new arrivals in order to meet the changing demands of the consumers. Cotton On group has much concerted or determined and long term supplier relationships; approximately 88% of the orders of the company are sourced from China, Bangladesh and other Asian countries. It is also expanding and strengthening its terms with the raw materials suppliers. The company in merger with the smallholders is getting engaged in developing its own cotton plantations, and this in turn would increase its social and economic advances thereby making their brand much more reliable and strong. One of the most important factors that help in the enhancement of the companys progress is the sharing of the information about the products with the customers through various means (Xue et al. 2016). The company invests more on the design of the product and the store, product distribution and guaranteed quality of the goods hat it manufactures. It specializes in a wide variety of brands such as the Cotton On Body, Typo, T- Bar, Cotton On Kids, Factorie, Free and some other brands that serve consumers belonging to different ages and with varied preferences. The brands such as Cotton On kids and Supre are gaining much prominence in India. Ethical sourcing by placing extensive value upon the supplier base and working closely with the suppliers is one of the main tenets of the company (Woll 2014). Ethical production and distribution are the chief factors of the organization. The company has ensured long term partnerships with India having the share of 2.32 % in terms of supply and one of the major partners of the Cotton On Group. The suppliers of the company form the backbone of Cotton On Group (Gupta 2015). Justified working hours, a strict no to discrimination and labor harassment, a valid business license and safe working conditions make the production and distribution processes of the company ethical. The Cotton On Group tries to reduce the cost of the air freights for sustainable transportation and distribution, therefore now it is placing more focus upon transportation of the goods by sea as it will lower the cost of distribution and supply and ultimately will help the company to maintain its pricing strategy (Perry et al. 2014). The company lays more focus upon the recycling of materials and pays considerable importance to the environmental policies and standards; all the waste materials such as the plastic, cardboards and metals that can cause harm to the environment undergo a recycling process and in addition to this the distribution centers of the organization follow diligently the norms or the European standards for exhaust emissions (Pogutz et al. 2013).
